Black Fur

Recently, H&M was having a huge winter sale & I felt the need to pickup a few pieces.  I ended up getting an extremely soft "mohair-esque" sweater for around $20 and the other items were below $10 which is a pretty good deal.  Most of these items fall into the typical theme of my closet...black, white, cream, & fur.  My closet is almost devoid of color completely, but I think neutral & simplistic clothing pieces are pure & elegant in a way.

Snow Day

Since the east coast got hit with an abundance of snow I felt the need to take picture pre-snow plowed roads.  Everything is so ethereal when it's snowing because the world is quiet & no one is outside.  Snow is so cold, but yet so beautiful.

Chinese New Year

Last Sunday I headed into the city for Chinese New Year & it was completely mental!  First my family & I met up to go eat dim sum (try the mung bean cakes) & I also got a mango boba tea.  Then off to the streets we went to wait for the festivities. The dragons dance their way around jam-packed streets & firecrackers ruptured in every direction.
We usually make a quick trip to a Vietnamese market whenever we're in the city & the shopping center was setting off firecrackers - which they've never done before.  There were about twenty shopping carts with endless strings of firecrackers.  We ended up waiting two hours to see them & the wait was completely worth it!  In total four strings of explosives were lit.  An endless cacophony of sparking droned on & on.  By the end of the day my ears were tingling with a constant ringing sound.  Have any of you ever gone to Chinatown to celebrate Chinese New Year?  Comment down below on your experiences.  I always tell people they should...it's really something worth seeing...& going a little bit death over!

Starting Blank

A few weeks ago I made a trip into the city for the day.  I've recently become addicted to the brand American Apparel & their classic yet simple aesthetic.  It's quite pricey to shop there, but the pieces I have bought have become staples of mine.

Absolutely fell in love with these light gray & nude frilly socks from American Apparel!
Quick stop by Madewell.
Made a cheeky little purchase from American Apparel.  Their velvet baby doll dresses are beautiful.
